Every fishing kayak ships with a paddle in the trunk, and every one of them is wrong for the boat you bought. That factory paddle is built for a narrow recreational hull, not a 36-inch-wide platform with a raised seat, a rod holder, a tackle crate and a trolling motor hanging off the stern. After … Read more

There is one problem that decides which security camera belongs in a detached garage, and it is not resolution or night vision. It is the network. A detached garage usually has a working outlet and nothing else: no Wi-Fi reaches the metal-and-foil building, the router back in the house cannot carry a signal through that … Read more

Short answer: the best way to mount a trolling motor on a kayak is with a rigid transom-style bracket clamped to a flat stern panel, backed from inside the hull with a backing plate or block. Most kayaks have no transom to clamp to, so the mount becomes the load-bearing part of the whole setup. … Read more

Searching for the best TIG welders under 1,000 dollars is harder than it looks, because most machines in this price tier share the same headline number and none of them tell you the whole truth. The best trampolines for teenagers are heavy-duty models rated for 400 to 550 lbs of dynamic (in-use) weight, built on a galvanized steel frame, and sized at 14ft or larger so two people can jump without the mat deflecting toward the frame. A gap-free enclosure, curved poles, and a published per-jumper weight limit matter far … Read more

The best kids drones for beginners are not the smallest ones, and they are definitely not the ones with the longest feature lists. What matters is how forgiving the aircraft is when a seven-year-old pushes the wrong stick, and whether the propeller guards survive the tenth crash of the week. Our best overall pick is … Read more

A lake will test an RC boat in ways a backyard pool never will. The run is longer, the water moves, the boat is smaller than a pedal kayak from shore, and the last thing you want is a capsize that turns into a cold-water swim. After putting twelve of the current lake-capable models side … Read more

The best board games for two players at home are the ones that actually get played on a random Tuesday, not the ones with the longest rulebooks. Most two-player designs run 20 to 30 minutes, fit on a coffee table, and teach in a single round, which is exactly what a weeknight needs. That is … Read more
