Hi there wonderful readers! As promised we did the official drawing for the trio of muscadine treats from Callaway Gardens, and we have a winner!
Congratulations Deborah! I will be emailing you today to see about getting your prize to you.
Thank you to everyone who read the long posts and an even bigger thanks to those of you who left your great (and often funny!) comments here this week. To console those of you who I know are crying about not winning,
I have a little lagniappe for you. (That’s your word of the day, folks.) Here are a few more pretty pictures that could have gone with the posts from this week. Hope you enjoy them.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! And thank you again for visiting my little place here.
You guys are wonderful!

Congratulations Deborah! Please post and let us know what it tastes like. Meanwhile, I’m very content with my consolation prize. Please, keep those wonderful photos coming.
Hey Jean! I am glad you are content with your consolation prize. That’s too funny! I hope to keep the photos coming because I love looking at them too.

Wow, Callaway Gardens building is so amazing. I am beginning to think Diamond Baratta may be one of my favorite designers. Thanks for this fun tour of some of the prettiest farmhouses I’ve ever seen, this from a Southern California girl that has to drive hours to see any farms.
Karen
Karen, the butterfly house is beautiful, but there is also a tiny chapel there with a gorgeous stained glass window that I love. The entrance to the gardens is an old English style portico. There are log cabins to tour there…lots more “architectural” things to see than one would think of for a garden. Diamond & Baratta were an amazing duo when they worked together. Check out the pool they did at slide 24 in this article: http://homedesign.marthastewart.com/2010/09/book-fridaydiamond-baratta-and-halcyon-days.html It’s unbelievable. So sorry you have to drive hours to get to a farm!

What’s this about a prize? I thought all those beautiful photos were delicious prizes every day! You know, Kelly, out of all of those wonderful images I think I could happily live the rest of my days out in the painting studio or even better the kitchen cottage from the other day (actually if there was a connecting breezeway between the two I could have both of them and travel back and forth). I guess I’m just a wee cottage lover! Thanks for the great week of eye candy
Cath
Hi, Kelly! I haven’t popped in for a while…..blame it on summer! I love all your eye candy. Have a great week!
xoxo,
Elizabeth
Cath, oh how I love to get your comments! They always make me smile. I think the little outbuilding/cottages are pretty neat too. You would have to run across a big yard to get from one to the other without a breezeway. If they weren’t big enough, perhaps you could always use the sleeping porch in the “big house” to sleep and take a bath. So glad you enjoyed all the posts from Farmhouse Week.
Elizabeth, thanks for popping in today! Good luck with the wedding you are going to be working on. Glad you liked the pictures!
